Marine Discovery Center Wine and Sunset Pontoon Boat Tour near the North Causeway in New Smyrna Beach. I highly recommend this boat tour. We saw tons of dolphins, 5 manatees swimming together, and the bird rookery was amazing.

1/25 Silver River, FL - a yoga group outing in Phil's Sea Pearl. We saw 10 gators, two groups of monkeys, woodpeckers, cormorants and hundreds of migratory ibis.
2/14 Newnans Lake, FL w Marty - saw 6 eagles, and hundreds of migratory birds.
2/15 North Fork of Black Creek at Jennings State Forest, FL - exploratory trip with Marty. We paddled against the current from Indian Ford to Knights Landing to confluence of Yellow Water Creek. Had three difficult portages and 'white water'
A challenging fun day! (Would have been easier had we paddled 'with the current'
2/17 Alexander Springs, FL - a lovely day with GCA/Georgia Canoe Association. Beautiful weather, gators galore ( 8 large gators, 8 itty bitty baby gators), good company and the pleasure of a weeded obstacle course.

4/24 Little Lake Santa Fe boat ramp through Santa Fe Canal to Lake Alto, and back - one gator lifted the end of my kayak on the Santa Fe end of the canal! Nice day for a workout in our bikinis! Heard a fun owl, gator and Sally chorus!
4/29 Silver River - the big gators were off mating..no monkeys for Dina or Laura. We did see 12 small gators, hundreds of immature ibis and lots of lil duck chicks.
5/7 Salt Springs to Lake George - saw 6 gators, egrets, herons and two gators eating a deer! It was wonderful to swim in the springs before and after paddling my new Necky Manitou Sport. The round trip took 4 hours. A good windy day workout.
5/8 Cow Pen Lake - bikini paddle, swimming and kayaking workout on girls day!

I have paddled Juniper since 1992...always paddled Juniper in the cool months and avoided it in the warm months. Juniper yesterday was the prettiest I have ever seen it. Very wild and lush....and technical, 40+ new trees down! ;0) I was blown away by the jungle like atmosphere of the summer foliage, and will be back again soon!

1/24 Lake Santa Fe - w JL, test new RTM Disco kayak vs Dagger Cypress
1/26 Silver River - w MarkC, test new RTM Discos on Silver. 9 gators, one was huge! Saw monkeys five times, three monkeys were swimming, heard a limpkin symphony and got close to a yellow crown night heron. Great sunny weather day.
1/31 Alafai River with Florida Sport Paddlers. Cold weather. River had lots of limestone shoals with rippling current and water. Not much wildlife. Saw armadillos.

2/14 Withlachoochee River-Gum Slough/Seven Sisters Sprgs - FSP Campout at Potts Preserve-M and J, Susan, Ann, MarkC, BobM, JimO, Sippeys, FSP's
2/25 Choctawhatchee River/LaGrange Bayou-paddle to sandbar w Susan, Ann
2/25 Choctawhatchee River/LaGrange Bayou-Ramsey Creek w SusanS, AnnC. Saw a lovely beaver dam. Good to paddle from dock. Caught catfish and blue crab.
3/6 Newnans Lake w JanieF, MarkC, PhilR. 2 mature and 2 immature eagles, 3 snow white pelicans, hundreds of migratory birds and red wing black birds. Sunny!
3/7 Haw Creek w John. mysterious blackwater river, saw 2 racoons, lots of speckled perch fishermen, and 1 small gator. A perfect, sunny, breezy spring day.
3/9 River Rise on Santa Fe River w MarkC. great weather! saw otter and 6 gators. The mother gator with four baby gators did not welcome photographers! ;0)
3/10 Lake Santa Fe w JanieF and Joyce & Neil from Ohio. A perfect weather day!
3/12 Oklawaha River, Gores to Eureka w JanieF and Joyce & Neil from Ohio. Saw 36 gators, a limpkin, lots of ibis and blue herons. Perfect spring weather!

Hikes:
Some of our hikes include: Ordway Preserve...Etonia Creek to Iron Bridge Shelter...Paynes Prairie/saw 15 Bison and 3 snakes....Rice Creek/1824 foot boardwalk thru swamp, turkeys, 2 deer, a mocassin, and found a natural sulfur springs, 12 miles...Lochloosa Preserve/saw turkey hunter...tour Marjorie K Rawlings home at Cross Creek...Bok Sanctuary in WinterHaven...Circle Bar B Reserve, an amazing hike with lots of wildlife and birds! including roseatted spoonbills, eagles, hawks, big gators...Gum Root Swamp, hike white and yellow loops, about 8 miles. 2 snakes, lots of ticks and yellow flies. To escape bugs, we move from the woods towards the water each summer.
Fall hiking...Hiked new Florida Trails hike near Keystone Heights Airport/hiked by three lakes...Etonia Creek/lots of deer...Newnans Lake Trail... Newnans Lake Trail...Newnans Lake Trail....so convenient...and any day in nature is a good day.
